1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and ElfAi Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Harfane mobile game ("App") on iOS and Android.
By downloading, installing, or using Harfane, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply specifically to Harfane. For our company-wide terms, see the ElfAi Technologies Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Harfane account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
Practice games against the bot and the Kelime Türet anagram mode can be played without an account. Multiplayer features require registration.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You may not create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, league standings, or matchmaking.
- You may not sell, transfer, rent, or share your account with anyone else.
- Notify us at support@elfai.dev if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Fair Play
Harfane is a competitive game. Every move is validated on our servers, and player racks are protected so that opponents cannot see the letters you hold. The following are prohibited:
- Using word finders, solvers, bots, scripts, or any automated assistance during multiplayer games
- Modifying, reverse engineering, or tampering with the App or its network traffic
- Exploiting bugs, race conditions, or scoring errors instead of reporting them
- Colluding with another player to inflate scores, ratings, or league position
- Deliberately stalling, abandoning games, or timing out to deny an opponent a result
- Attempting to access another player's rack, account, or private game state
If we detect unfair play, we may reverse affected results, reset ratings, remove league standings, suspend matchmaking access, or terminate the account. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent termination without refund.
5. In-Game Chat and Conduct
Harfane uses a preset message system rather than free-text chat, which limits what can be sent between players. You still agree not to use preset messages, your username, or your display name to harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other players, or to display offensive, hateful, or unlawful content.
We may change or remove any username or display name that violates these Terms, and may restrict chat access for accounts that misuse it.
6. Game Rules, Ratings, and League
- Word validity is determined by the dictionaries bundled with the App. Dictionary contents may be corrected or updated over time.
- Scoring rules, bonus squares, quest cards, and mode timers may be rebalanced to keep the game fair and enjoyable.
- Ratings, XP, league placement, and statistics are provided for entertainment. They have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, sold, or transferred.
- We may reset or recalculate ratings and league standings when correcting errors or preventing abuse.
- Turn timers apply per mode. Missing a turn deadline may cause a pass or a forfeit, depending on the mode.
7. Subscriptions and Purchases
Harfane is free to download and play. Harfane PRO is an optional auto-renewable subscription that removes advertising and unlocks the score preview and letter bag tracker.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
- You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your device settings after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies and applicable law. We cannot issue store refunds directly.
- Prices vary by region and are shown in your store account at the time of purchase.

8. Advertising
The free version of Harfane displays advertising through Google AdMob. Ads help fund ongoing development. You may limit ad personalization in your device settings, or remove ads entirely with a Harfane PRO subscription.
9. Virtual Items and Jokers
Harfane includes virtual items such as hint jokers, reveal jokers, and swap jokers. These are licensed to you for personal, non-transferable use within the App. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and may be modified or discontinued. Unused virtual items are forfeited if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
10. License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Harfane for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, decompile, or reverse engineer the App, or remove any proprietary notices from it, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
11. Intellectual Property
Harfane, including its name, logo, artwork, board design, game mechanics, code, and dictionaries as compiled, is owned by ElfAi Technologies and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no ownership rights.
Harfane is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any other word game publisher or trademark holder.
12. Third-Party Services
Harfane relies on third-party services including Supabase, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Expo, and Sentry, and on word definition sources such as the TDK dictionary and dictionaryapi.dev. Their availability is outside our control, and definition content is provided by those sources as-is.
13. Service Availability
We aim to keep Harfane available and running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Multiplayer features depend on network connectivity and our servers. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App, including game modes and online features, at any time.
14. Termination
You may stop using Harfane at any time and request account deletion by contacting support@elfai.dev.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, particularly the fair play and conduct rules. Where practical and appropriate, we will tell you why.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that dictionaries are complete, or that scoring will always be free of defects.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ElfAi Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost ratings, or lost virtual items arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten US dollars, whichever is greater.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above. Continued use of the App after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law principles. Mandatory consumer protection rights available to you in your country of residence are not affected.
19. Apple and Google
These Terms are between you and ElfAi Technologies, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content, and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
